Man arrested at square

On August 18 2021, Ryan Knopsyder, 31, of Elyria, was arrested for two active warrants. The catalyst to Knopsyder’s arrest appears to be the result of a disturbance he was alleged to have been causing a vendor at Ely Square. The Elyria Police Department Case Report Summary, under case number 2021-00021461, shows that Knopsnyper wasn’t charged for the disturbance but was arrested for two outstanding warrants. The warrants are from two ‘acts of contempt’ from two separate court cases at the Elyria Municipal Court; one traffic and one criminal.  Knopsnyder was transported to the Lorain County Jail to be held for court.
